This book is the companion volume to 'Australian Bush Ballads', published in 1954. This comprehensive collection of Australia's unique bush songs has much information about life in the early days, verses by convicts, the first colonial ballads and broadsheets, and similar material. New material has been included, and many songs thought to be anonymous have been attributed to their rightful authors. Edited by Douglas Stewart and Nancy Keesing.
